If your looking for some real good north indian cuisine, then head on down to the indian kitchen along jalan telawi in bangsar. This place serves you some authentic dishes such as the butter chicken, paneer makhani (which is cottage cheese smothered in rich creamy butter sauce), the bendhi masala, mutton masala & fish curry. The curries here are crazy! The chefs here are from india thus they tend to bring the actual true flavors instead of mimicking it. This place is usually a full house on weekends, where people of all races come by to savor the indian delights. The indian breads are something you should also try, my favorite would be the garlic cheese naan & the romali roti which can be a much healthier substitute. With these superb food you might wanna have a sweet lassi to go down with it, just make sure you tell them you dont want it too sweet as it spoils the overall taste.

Indian Kitchen is my regular North Indian place because it's generally more reasonable than most other North Indian places in KL. I usually pay about RM40 for a meal for two. It's not dirt cheap yes, but North Indian food is not something you can get cheaply here anyway. The restaurant moved its location to a couple of blocks up and I reckon the new set-up is less stuffy and brighter. And I'm glad to see that they kept their habit of Hindi music videos on loop despite shifting. I always order the butter chicken when I'm here - it's creamy and rich, and with just the correct balance of tomato and spice. I ordered something called Rajasthani mutton once and it was really lovely. Unfortunately, it's hit-and-miss here - I don't recall being blown away every single time I visit but generally, it's a reliable neighbourhood-type North Indian joint.

OMG!!!!! THIS PLACE IT'S AMAZING!!!! Yep, it is. You can go here with a small or large group of friends. You will love it. The place has a big menu, with a huge variety of spicy food but not only. The food is delightful and the price is reasonable. Here you can have the best butter chicken with cheese nan from the city. The place is quite and casual, and the stuff is very friendly. So, if you like indian food, this place it's a must.

This is a great restaurant if you want to have lunch in large groups. Indian kitchen have many options, for those who love spicy food to those who, like me, enjoy more mild options. The food is very well made, the staff is nice and friendly, and the price is quite reasonable. The ambiance is chill and casual, and they offer seating options inside and out. The butter chicken with cheese naan will get you completely hooked, and the mint and lemon juice will not disappoint! I strongly recommend Indian Kitchen, and can't wait to my next visit!

One of the more fancier North Indian places, the Indian Kitchen is where I usually frequent for some good creamy curries. One god thing about this place is that it is pretty wallet-friendly which is shocking considering it is in the Bangsar area. For some reason though, the place never seems to have that many people when I've been there. They've been open for many years now so I'm guessing they have a loyal following as they're food is among the best I've had. A little tip, instead of ordering the usual white rice with your dishes, do try their extensive range of Naan breads. Especially their Garlic Naan or even their Pulao rice.

Indian Kitchen is a great place to come with your family and have some really good north indian food. Not only is their food good, it's very affordable because the portions they have there is quite big. A one person portion of chicken briyani can feed two people (Unless you have a huge appetite then maybe just get one for yourself). A serving of palak paneer is RM12 and is a good portion for 4 people. The restaurant likes playing video clips of songs from random hindi movies. If you're like me and appreciate hearing such music from almost two decades ago, you'll enjoy it. If you're not a fan of such things, don't worry because they don't blare the music.
